Comprehensive Exams
An examination by a dentist screens for a variety of problems of the oral cavity such as decay, infection, jaw joint problems, and even oral cancer. It is important to have your mouth thoroughly evaluated on a routine basis to screen for any unhealthy conditions that may be developing. It is better to catch dental problems early so that a small, easy to treat condition doesn’t lead to bigger issues if not addressed.
Dental Cleanings
Dental cleanings remove the biofilm of bacteria found in plaque and tartar buildup that can lead to decay and gum disease if not removed. During a cleaning, also known as a prophy or prophylaxis, our hygiene team will thoroughly clean and debride the teeth and gums using an array of specialized instruments. While brushing and flossing at home is equally important, deposits of tartar and plaque that are often hidden below the gumline and in hard-to-reach areas can be extremely difficult to remove at home and should be safely removed by a professional on a regular basis.
Emergency Treatment
Dental emergencies can happen at any time, and we are committed to getting you cared for as quickly as possible. When something occurs in your mouth that you didn’t plan for, let us know and we will get you into the office as soon as possible. If you are having an emergency outside of normal business hours, please call our office and leave a voicemail. Our voicemail is monitored after hours and one of our team members will get back to you as soon as possible.
